November – December 2022: End-of-year report

How was your first year with us?

It was amazing because I did not have any stress about paying fees. And that is because Kulu Manzi helped me.

What difference did the Kulu Manzi scholarship make?

It made a very big difference in my life. Because I didn’t have any worries about fees and I could focus more on myself and my studies.

Did the scholarship fulfill your expectations? What was good/not good?

Yes it did. My fees were paid in full without me having to stress about it. You gave me enough time to focus on my studies and write up the monthly reports.

What could we have done better?

Nothing. You did everything that you were supposed to.

Would you recommend the Kulu Manzi scholarship to other students?

Yes, definitely.

Have you been able to finish your studies?
Yes I have.

Did you get your results and do you pass?

Yes, I got them on the 22nd of December. And yes, I passed.

What’s next?

I’m taking it one day at a time. I have been applying for jobs in my field but haven’t gotten any feedback. Hopefully by next year I will get feedback, if I don’t then I will take it one step at a time until I find my dream job.

What were your key learnings and achievements in the past year?

To not worry about things that I cannot control. I learned to be patient and that things that are meant to be will fall into place. I became more confident in myself and I learned how to be more open to change. Things always happens for a reason and I know that my journey just started and I still have a lot to learn.

What are your plans for 2023? Do you have any New Year’s resolutions?

I haven’t really made plans but the first thing I want to accomplish in 2023 is to obtain my driver’s license. I want 2023 to be the year where I get a full time job that will be able to help me support my family and get my life started.
